La Villegiatura is located in the heart of Venice, just a few steps away from the Grand Canal and the famous Rialto market, and a short stroll from some of the world's most beautiful sites: Piazza San Marco, Teatro la Fenice, the Accademia, Museo Cà Pesaro and the Cà d'Oro.
The fully restored, luxurious appartment is located in a Venetian palazzo, including a suite, three large bedrooms, and two romantic loft suites. The first four bedrooms retain traditional Venetian flooring, while the loft suites have modern parquet flooring and are full of light. The appartment boasts stunning views of the bell tower of San Cassiano and across the rooftops of Venice.
The name La Villeggiatura is taken from the title of a famous play by Goldoni, and the name of each room refers to the musical, theatrical, cinematic or artistic heritage of Venice. The theme of each room is continued with a fresco handpainted using the antique techniques by the artist Cadaf. The Turandot room has a Chinese theme taken from the setting of Gozzi's fairy tale. The Doge room is furnished in traditional Venetian style, while the gentle pastel colours of the Goldoni recall the masks of the sala da pranzoCommedia dell' Arte. The Mondo Nuovo takes its name from Tiepolo's masterpience, reproduced in fresco and is also the title of a famous film about Casanova!
All rooms are decorated to the highest standard, with antique furnishings in elegant oriental silks. Each has a king size bed, a spacious modern bathroom, air conditioning, television, minibar and a safe. In the morning a traditional Itlaian breakfast will be served, and can be taken in your room if your prefer. We are happy to book restaurants, theatre seats, concerts and other events on request, and if you are really tired after a long day exploring the Venetian streets and canals, you can book a relaxing Thai massage in your room.
